This is a very fun book. I'm a music technology professor, we do a lot of creative sequencing projects. I'm using this in a second semester class, pairing up my students on a project, and randomly selecting their project "topic" from this book. The students have had a preview of what some of these ideas will be, and they can't wait for this project to happen later in the semester. It has some great ideas in it.
Great source of inspiration, information and reference to use when feeling blocked or stuck when writing music. I'm a choral music composer (since I sing in a choir)., and this gives me a whole new lot of ideas.The only things I found confusing are some typos or formatting errors I found in the ebook. Aside from that, great read, great book. Highly recommended!!!!!!!
Bought this for my talented, music-loving friend who plays clarinet and piano. He had mentioned wanting to start composing, so I gave this to him to give him the nudge that he needed. It has tons of really great suggestions and ideas for starting pieces, and it'll be a great kick start of inspiration for him. He loves it so far!
